On Sunday, May 3rd, 2009, the Cleveland Association of Phi Beta Kappa recognized 110 outstanding graduating seniors from high schools across Northeast Ohio. This Annual Scholastic Awards Banquet, hosted by the Cleveland Association of Phi Beta Kappa, was held at Executive Caterers at Landerhaven. The faculty of each high school selected the Scholastic Award recipients based on academic achievement and scholarship (including maintaining a grade point average in the top 10% of the class). This Award is considered by many to be one of the most prestigious honors a high school student can receive. Each student's name will be engraved on the Phi Beta Kappa plaque that is permanently displayed at each school.

2009 Scholastic Award Winners

As it does each year at this banquet, the Cleveland Association of Phi Beta Kappa also awarded a renewable four-year scholarship. This years recipient was Mr. Jason Kwong from Mayfield High School. Click here for more information about selection criteria of scholarship winners.
